The mission of the Boeing Employees Bible
Fellowship is one of strengthening the bonds that
exist from our mutual respect and appreciation
for the Bible as the Word of God. Out of one's
commitments to living in accordance with Biblical
ideals, there is a challenge to be "in the
world", yet, not "of the world",
as Jesus prayed for his followers (Gospel of John,
Chapter 17). This is the same place in Scripture
where we see Jesus praying for the unity of all
those who would follow Him.
Some of us believe strongly in doing what
we can to influence our society through political
avenues. Jesus said to His followers "You
are the salt of the earth", "the light
of the world", (Matthew 5:13,14). The BEBF
leadership encourages our membership and friends
to seek the LORD and obey Him as to how He wants
you to address issues that affect Bible-believing
people. We respectfully ask that you be cautious
and discerning in expressing your opinions regarding
possible political issues in BEBF gatherings.
Remember that our gatherings as BEBF participants
must abide by the company Procedure 99, which
specifically limits clubs from political involvement.
