Mike and Becky’s July 2010 Newsletter
Hello from Uganda!
How is the weather there? It is about 85 degrees here, dry and dusty! We are
moving into dry season here
in Uganda. The seasons go like this, 2 dry
seasons and two rainy
seasons each year. Dry season is more hot. Water can be scarce.
The ministry is going great, we have had about 500 prisoners saved for the first
time, and many more rededicated their lives! Praise
the Lord! Early in the month we had 70 prisoners saved in one day in our
visits to prisons along Masaka road. The Word of God is doing a great work! I
have been so impressed to watch the way the messages affect the prisoners! At
Bulawula Prison we were able to clearly present the Gospel and 7 men were saved,
coming forward to kneel down as I preached to the men “Why you need Jesus!”.
As we traveled to Mubende district this month, where we visited 8 prisons in 3
days, 125 prisoners were saved! At Butiti prison tears were being shed during
the altar
call, and at Kaweeri Prison as I preached about “Bearing good fruit”
out of Isa.5, I could really see the Word
of God impact the men! Also, God moved powerfully at Muiniana Prison,
where we usually see few salvations (usually only the believers gather to
listen), but 15 wer! e saved this time!
We have seen God’s hand in miracles also! At Nkozi Prison we met a mentally
ill lady who was crying out and very hostile and upset. I spoke to her, led her
to the Lord and prayed for her, and when we left she was very happy and behaving
normally! Praise God! At Butuntumula Prison we laid hands on the sick and saw
God instantly heal a man that had not been able to move his head at all! At
Mityana Prison we prayed for the men and a demon manifested in a man whose
family (we later learned) had dedicated him to witchcraft. He tried to wrestle
with us and twice slammed his head into a wall. We prayed for him for about an
hour, and just as they were coming to lock him up again (our time was over), God
gave us an opening and we were able to lead him to Christ! Many others were
testifying they had been helped or healed when we prayed for them.
If you would like to see some pictures of the ministry and get regular updates,
we are on facebook: “Mike Vilumsons”. Thanks to those who are encouraging us
and praying for us. Mary in Alaska
has been following the ministry by looking up where we are going on a map, and
praying!
My wife and I moved into a new rental house last month, and we have room if you
would like to come and visit! God will use you and stir up your heart! Please do
email us and let us know how you are doing, we love to get mail from the U.S..
If you want to send us letters: Pastor Mike and Becky Vilumsons, UCOM, PO Box

Uganda, East Africa.
Another exciting thing that God has done this month, Horizon Church in Seattle
donated money for our (Apostolic) Pastor in Bundi Bujo to have a motorcycle to
help him in the ministry! Praise the Lord! He oversees many churches, we were
present as the church launched five more pastors into ministry recently! He is
so happy and grateful!
Thanks so much for praying and giving to the ministry! Psalm 41 says:
1 How
blessed is he who considers the helpless;
The LORD will deliver him in a day of trouble.
2 The
LORD will protect him and keep him alive,
And he shall be called blessed upon the earth;
And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.
3 The
LORD will sustain him upon his sickbed;
In his illness, You restore him to health.
Let us work together to reach the lost and help the hopeless! God will reward us
and make His face shine down on us! Let us pursue God and faithfully serve Him,
the time is short! We are working hard in the ministry here and seeking God, so
that He will one day say “Well done, good and faithful servant…”!
God Bless You,
Pastor Mike and Becky Vilumsons
